N.T. raised rapper BIRDZ is currently the label’s most established artist with consistent, excellent releases spanning four years including the critically acclaimed album ‘Train Of Thought (2017) which deservedly won Australian Independent Record Label Associations – Best Independent Hip Hop Album, was shortlisted for the Australian Music Prize, Nominated for Music Victoria’s Best Hip Hop Album and was loved by community and national radio, and digital service providers nationally.
His latest project “Place of Dreams” including world class collaborations with Mojo Juju, Ecca Vandal and Serina Pech was released in May 2019. The project has ticked over 500,000 streams on Spotify alone, and is continuing to grow throughout the country. The project has to date provided him with a nomination for the Corner Hotel Artist Of The Year award, a national tour in support of renowned rapper, Seth Sentry, high rotation on triple j and community radio nationally.
Possessing an unwavering passion and commitment to his craft, the Butchulla emcee has spent the past year on the road perfecting an explosive live show and connecting with a loyal and growing fan base. A consistent track record of releases has seen Birdz share the stage with high profile acts such as Briggs, Sampa The Great, Loyle Carner and the Thundamentals, whilst also enthralling audiences at Woodford, Sprung Festival, The Hills Are Alive, St Kilda Festival and Groovin’ The Moo.
Fresh out of the studio and working closely with renowned producers, Trials (A.B. Original) and J. Mangohig, Birdz is currently preparing to release his latest project via Bad Apples Music in 2019.
