Blanco, Australias’ first, First Nations AD of Australias’ first First Nations dance company, AIDT in 1989, transformed it into AIDT – ‘the company’; An elite ensemble of young Indigenous dancer-choreographers who toured the world to great acclaim. He is one of Australias’ highly regarded choreographers in the development of contemporary First Nations dance.
