Child Nation is a collection of interactive ‘journeys’ – authored by artists – where children transform normal people and places into subversive story-like experiences. Hijacking a mobile device they move around with stepped conversational instructions which call for simple typed responses and real actions, before finding themselves in an unusual situation crafted with their own content. Kids say it “feels like being inside your own story as you make it up”.
Child Nation gives kids agency to see their own world beyond the limitations of adult constructs. An antidote to kid-zoned experiences, it enables emotional and imaginative responses to collections and places in two-way dialogues with children.
Child Nation is a solo experience that unlocks any person’s creativity. So pick up a device, choose a journey and find yourself immersed in a 15 minute conversation with your own surroundings
