Cheryl Ho
Director of Special Projects, Artwave Studio
Cheryl Ho is a Singaporean Chinese Actor, Maker and the Director of Special Projects at Artwave Studio. She is interested in how spaces can be created or facilitated for people to feel empowered, challenged and supported.
After graduating from the Victorian College of the Arts, she has worked with Sydney Theatre Company WHITE PEARL, Melbourne Theatre Company CYBEC ELECTRIC and Malthouse HELLO WORLD.
Cheryl was awarded two Green Room Awards (Performer and Production) and four Melbourne Fringe awards (Best in Theatre, Best Emerging Writer, Best Emerging Producer and New Zealand Tour Ready award) for her one woman show, 落叶归根(Luò yè guī gēn) Getting Home, supported by the City of Melbourne through SIGNAL’s Young Creatives Lab.
With Artwave Studio, Cheryl worked on various projects such as A Call Away, a phone call encounter commissioned by Singapore Writers Festival 2020. A Piece of Home, an audio installation co-created with international students for the National University of Singapore Centre for the Arts. You’re Invited, an interactive online experience on Gathertown at Esplanade’s Huayi – Chinese Festival of Arts 2022.
