Eugyeene is a theatre maker and designer across various artforms on works that push boundaries and dismantle the patriarchy. He has worked extensively on shows throughout Australia and internationally including the Melbourne Theatre Company, Malthouse Theatre, Bell Shakespeare, Back to Back Theatre, Little Ones Theatre, Fraught Outfit and Sydney Chamber Opera. Some of his works have been presented at and recognized at International Festivals including Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane and Darwin Festivals, Tokyo Festival World Competition, Pesta Raya- Malay Festival of Arts in Singapore, New York Fashion Week and Music Theatre Now Network of International Theatre Institute. Eugyeene frequently collaborates with Australia’s boundary-pushing theatre-makers. Apart from theatre, he has worked as an architect, most recently with LAB Architecture Studio with works in Dubai, Georgia, Australia and throughout China. Eugyeene was the co-chair of the Green Room Awards Association in 2018-2019, and co-formed multi award-winning Little Ones Theatre. He is a recipient of a Green Room Award and three Sydney Theatre Awards nominations and is also a recipient of the prestigious Keith and Elisabeth Murdoch Travelling Fellowship and a placement through the Besen Family Artist Program.
