Harley is the founder and director of independent performing arts producer Intimate Spectacle. Established in 2012, the company works across genres, from contemporary theatre & dance theatre to live art and interactive performance. He’s currently collaborating on new works with hip hop artist Molonai Makalio; with long term collaborator Nick Power; and with Latai Taumoepeau and Brian Fuata, curating a large scale live art event with Art Gallery of NSW.

He has produced and toured works by Nick Power, Branch Nebula, Vicki Van Hout, Cambodian Space Project, Sam Routledge, Erth, Lenine Bourke and Team MESS, to major festivals & venues nationally, regionally and internationally.

Highlights include the French/Australian collaboration commissioned by Sydney, Adelaide & Brisbane Festivals, Nick Power’s Two Crews; touring Nick’s Between Tiny Cities throughout Asia, Europe and Australia, from major venues and dance festivals to remote Indigenous communities; post’s Oedipus Schmoedipus bilingual presentation in Santiago (2017), and adaptation into Cantonese with Hong Kong Repertory & West Kowloon (2018); 14 seasons of Branch Nebula’s Helpmann Award-winning Snake Sessions in skateparks throughout Australia; and developing and touring Cambodian Space Project’s rock opera Cosmic Cambodia between Kampot Cambodia and Sydney.

He has 25 years experience producing performance, including Producer at Performing Lines 2005-11; was Executive Producer at Urban Theatre Projects 1995-2003.
