Little Fruit is an Independent arts company with a focus on community and connection. Created by Sarah Ward and Bec Matthews, we make shows and run workshops for and with children, elders and families. We are queer friendly and our work is collaborative and playful. Where possible we work with Auslan Interpreters and Captioners to create work that is accessible to members of our Deaf and Hard Of Hearing communities. We are passionate about child lead projects and engaging children as both audience members and collaborators.
I’m a queer cabaret artist, actor, writer and teacher. My practice is collaborative and primarily focuses on art that creates connection and engages community. I work with themes around mental health, queer visibility and disrupting gender stereotypes. From large scale variety shows to intimate live art works and community arts projects. I have a Helpmann and 8 Green Room awards for cabaret and Independent Theatre.
