Special Event: Biennale of Sydney
The Biennale of Sydney provides a platform for art and ideas and is recognised for commissioning and presenting innovative, thought-provoking art from Australia and around the globe.
The 22nd Biennale of Sydney (2020) is under the artistic direction of Brook Andrew. Entitled, NIRIN, meaning edge in Andrew’s mother’s Wiradjuri language, it challenges dominant narratives and decentres notions around arts and cultural capitals.
The 22nd Biennale of Sydney is artist- and First Nations-led, presenting an expansive exhibition of contemporary art that connects local communities and global networks.
Join NIRIN artist Bhenji Ra talk about her performance practice, set against Andrew Rewald’s Alchemy Garden, an evolving work at the National Art School as part of the 22nd Biennale of Sydney.
MEET at Carriageworks at 9.15am
