The Impacts of Culture on the Work of Disabled Artists

This panel discussion explores the impacts of cultural contexts and working conditions on the experience of deaf and disabled professional performing artists. These contexts and conditions vary significantly from country to country, and have implications not just for how the artist is supported in doing their job, but in the way in which audiences engage with their work. We’ll also investigate the role of presenting organisations in creating a safe and empowering professional environment for artists, while upholding the principles of disability justice.
