Voices from the Frontline: Communities under threat in Australia and the Pacific
Exchange: Panel Discussion
As part of a focussed program on Climate Justice curated by Angharad Wynne-Jones, Voices From the Front Line will be the first of a series of discussions exploring climate crisis, systemic change and the impact on international mobility.
In this first conversation, we will hear directly from the communities who are most affected by the devastating impacts of climate change in Australia and The Pacific.
Our speakers will share stories and perspectives from those living on the frontline, including First Nations peoples, coastal communities, and small island nations.
Through their experiences, we will gain a deeper understanding of the challenges they face and the urgent need for action.
How can the arts and cultural sector take meaningful steps towards supporting these communities and creating a more sustainable future for all?
Speakers: Lily Shearer Moogahlin Performing Arts, Yessie Mosby Torres Strait 8, Tāwera Tahuri Creative NZ, Julian Louis NORPA, Angharad Wynn-Jones State Library Victoria & Centre for Reworlding, Catherine Jones APAM
