Feedback Loops

Australian Centre for Contemporary Art (ACCA)

Transforming ACCA’s galleries, Feedback Loops invites you into the worlds of six Australian and international artists whose practices sample ideas and images from our past and present to speculate on the future – Madison Bycroft (Australia/France), Tianzhuo Chen (China), Lu Yang (China), Sahej Rahal (India), Justin Shoulder (Australia) and Zadie Xa (UK).

ABOUT THE EXHIBIT

Encounter video, installation, interactive gaming and artificial intelligence as well as a program of live performance, populated by characters and conceptualisations that are at once real and fictive.

Feedback Loops enmeshes ritual, spirituality, myth, technology and popular culture with a cyclical sensibility that is playful, spectacular and challenges us to imagine alternative possibilities.

Dates: 7 December 2019 – 22 March 2020
