KEYNOTE LECTURE: Chicks on Speed - Feminist Sound Technologies

This dual performance lecture will showcase the various technologies developed and produced by Chicks on Speed – Melissa E. Logan & Prof. Dr. Alexandra Murray-Leslie – that expand and disrupt the tropes of fashion, music, design and performance. Demonstrating these technologies through live performance, the artists will focus on their new suite of objectinstruments—which they have developed in collaboration with leading international scientists and technologists—and their relationship to feminist philosophies of creativity, composition and performance.
