Intersections between live and digital forms

Come to Arts House, Melbourne’s centre for contemporary performance for morning tea with the Arts House team, led by Artistic Director Emily Sexton and General Manager Sophie Travers.

We invite you to join us for a panel discussion on new practices that focus on the intersection between live and digital forms, enabling new partnerships and new touring and residency approaches. More details and speakers to come.

We will then take to you for an exhibition tour as part of our Asia TOPA program with artists Xiao Ke and Zi Han for their work What is Chinese?

Date Tuesday 25 February 2020
10:00am – 11:30am
Venue Arts House, North Melbourne Town Hall

Arts House, as a key program of the City of Melbourne, is Melbourne’s contemporary centre for performance and interactive artforms. We support innovative responses to the changing nature of our cities through creative interdisciplinary practice, curated through provocation, responsiveness and collaboration with artists, communities and audiences.

Based at North Melbourne Town Hall and on the land of the Kulin Nations, Arts House is where artists and audiences gather to find new frontiers in contemporary performance. Hyperlocal and intergalactic, our development and presentation programs create new live experiences across artforms.

Arts House drive major curatorial platforms, such as Dance Massive, as well as presenting art in partnership with festivals in Melbourne and nationwide. Our development programs include CultureLAB, Time_Place_Space and Makeshift: professional development and critical discussion by artists, for artists.
