Spirit

Yellaka

Award-winning cultural creatives Karl Winda Telfer and Sonia Waters expertly guide the company of young performers that are Yellaka – a language word meaning “old wisdom, new ways” – to bring the spirit of ancient traditions into today’s world.

Theatrically weaving together story, song and dance with fire, language and ceremony, Yellaka draws audiences into a warm cultural space, evoking a mesmerising stillness. Through Spirit, ancient teachings cross into new forms. You will find new ways to look and listen, and learn the importance of truth-telling and respect.
