tiny revolutions
pvi collective
An epic think and do tank of tiny proportions.
tiny revolutions responds to the current global feeling of powerlessness, by offering a tiny response in the public realm that has the potential for big impact. By generating a space for play, this work aims to explore some temporary social change to help us confront the new realities of the present. From climate crisis to rapid tech advancement, minority rights to the patriarchy, tiny revolutions aims to take the overwhelming scale and anxieties of these issues and transform them into bite-sized actions that pack a societal punch.
Viewing this event On Demand has now expired.
The delegates’ edition of tiny revolutions will offer a digital version of the roundtable THINK process via zoom facilitated by pvi artists and using the same gamified process that drives the live performance event. Eight delegates will be able to register for a ‘place at the table’, and are invited to unpack, imagine and devise a tiny revolution in response to a submission. The process is fast-paced, supportive and fun. Other delegates will be able to view the process as audience but not partake. A post-event Q&A will be facilitated by artist and festival director, Helen Cole, In Between Time Festival.
Members of the public are invited to submit an epic problem, via the tiny revolutions website, connect it to one of 15 global challenges and then select an intervention tactic for pvi to deploy before hitting submit.
