TIME MACHINE creates a delightfully silly play space for Grandparents to connect with their grandchildren. Delivered via Zoom, and hosted by children’s superstar Matt Kelly (The Listies).

TIME MACHINE will use a theatrical mix of storytelling, collective imagining and puzzle-solving to bring young and old audiences together for a shared experience that transcends the geographic distances that may keep them apart. This experience will enrich the storytelling potential of the digital spaces we occupy. Virtual backgrounds, face filters, break out rooms, pop up video content, shared screens & audio, whiteboards, will be explored and utilised to create a play-space which centres the Grandparent/Grandchild relationship.

This innovative digital format increases access for regional and remote communities and reduces financial and social barriers to engaging in professional cultural events and activities.

TIME MACHINE is a Threshold experience created by Matt Kelly, Andrew Callaghan, Kat Chan, Tahli Corin, Sarah Lockwood, supported by Olivia Beasley and Jessica Moody.
