In Person: 14 – 17 August 2021, Darwin Entertainment Centre and various venues
The APAM Gathering at Darwin Festival brings together a collection of virtual and real-life happenings highlighting the works, ideas and ambitions of Australian and New Zealand artists and companies. Taking place on the lands of the Larrakia people, the APAM Gathering at Darwin Festival will be held virtually and in person in mid August. A multidisciplinary event, the Gathering will invite participants from across the country and internationally to engage in a digital and IRL program of performance, dialogue, and networking. Participants will include 80-100 international presenters invited to attend virtually by APAM.
Through the Darwin Festival program, participants will engage with a diverse, multidisciplinary program of work by Australian artists including Marrugeku, Gravity and Other Myths, ILBIJERRI Theatre Company, Lara Thoms and Samara Hersh, Counterpilot, Sarah Ward, Shaun Parker and Company and Tracks Dance. Register now to join 250+ in person and virtual attendees for the APAM Gathering at Darwin Festival.
Tickets from $110 including GST and booking fee.
More than 50 artists and companies will share their work via PROFILE, including artists and companies we know and love alongside new voices and new ideas, while SHOWCASE will spotlight the best of Australia’s work for young audiences, driven by how young people can navigate this brave new world.
EXCHANGE will invite us to think and talk deeply about how we approach the challenges and innovations facing the sector; through panel discussions, podcasts and regionally focused meet ups we will tackle questions of power, play and community.
Don’t miss this opportunity to (re)connect with peers, build community and reflect on the playfulness and curiosity we experience through artistic expression.
