Precipice Art Lab

EOIs Now Closed

UPDATE: Due to current events applications for Precipice Art Lab will be closed until further notice. In the coming months, we will be in touch about the future of the project. To all who have already applied, we will keep you on file for updates. In the meantime, we hope everyone remains safe and well.

Expressions of Interest to participate in the Precipice Art Lab produced by independent Darwin company ACCOMPLICE have now closed.

Darwin is a city surrounded by ocean and desert, producing art that is on the precipice geographically and culturally.

From August 11 – 14 2020, Twenty artists – 10 national, 10 NT, will come together on Larrakia country for a  4-day curated program to learn, interrogate and connect.

Precipice is born out of a desire to foster genuine artist-to-artist links. Precipice artists will be interested in:

> Bolstering the voices of First Nations and regional artists
> Learning, sharing and interrogating practice with a group of diverse peers
> Creating and investigating new ways of working in collaboration with people and place
> Fostering networks of peers across geographic divides

The program will be curated by local Darwin artists/curators and supported by national mentors. Throughout the four days artists will be invited to share their practice and participate in a range of workshops, rituals, and provocations. The program can also provide some travel support.
