Yellamundie Festival
28-30 September 2023
Presented every second year since 2013 by Moogahlin Performing Arts, Yellamundie Festival identifies, develops and presents First Peoples’ stories for stage.
The APAM Office is partnering with Moogahlin to support the 2023 Yellamundie Festival Storytellers and the festival’s broader community of artists to forge relationships with venues and festivals for future presentation, collaboration and residency opportunities.
APAM staff Theodore Cassady and Kath Papas will be attending the festival to support connections and host visiting presenters. If you’re in Gadigal (Sydney), bookings are now available for all the evening showings and the free Local Player event, all at Carriageworks.
Local Players: Yellamundie Festival
Friday 29 Sept, 5pm
Free, registration required.
Based on the successful format first developed for APAM Gatherings, First Peoples dance, theatre and contemporary performance artists living and working around Gadigal will give insights into their practice and their aspirations for national and international engagement. Presented in partnership with APAM.
A new Sydney Theatre Company production of Moogahlin’s seminal work The Visitors is also on at Sydney Opera House during September. Read more and purchase tickets HERE
