APAM AND PRIVACY
Australian Performing Arts Market (APAM) abides by the Guidelines for Federal and ACT Government World Wide Web Sites issued by the Australian Privacy Commissioner.
You can generally visit https://apam.org.au/ without revealing personal information, unless you provide it directly to Australian Performing Arts Market. The information we receive depends upon what you do when visiting the site.
INFORMATION WE COLLECT
As is the case for nearly all websites, APAM makes a general record of your website visit, logging the following information for statistical purposes:
+ your server’s address
+ the name of the top-level domain from which you access the Internet (for example, .gov, .com, .au, .nz, etc.)
+ the date and time of your visit to this site
+ the pages accessed and documents downloaded
+ the previous Internet address from which you linked directly to https://apam.org.au/ (except in cases where the referring site declines to pass this information on)
APAM uses this information to measure the reach of its online activities and analyse website traffic to https://apam.org.au/ and general user behaviour visiting the site. We will not identify users or their browsing activities, except where a law enforcement agency (or other government agency) may exercise a legal authority to inspect the ISP logs (e.g. by warrant, subpoena or notice to produce). In some instances, including subscribing to the APAM mailing list, submitting an Expression of Interest (EOI) for an APAM program, registering as an APAM Gathering participant, and/or contacting us via the online form, you will opt to provide personal information to APAM.
USE OF YOUR INFORMATION
Where you elect to provide us with personal details, APAM will add these to a database and use it to administer APAM. Databases we use include the APAM mailing list, the APAM EOI list, the APAM Gathering participant list, and the general APAM contact list. Where you have provided APAM with personal information, we will take every reasonable step to prevent the loss, misuse or unauthorised accessing of that information.
DISCLOSURE OF YOUR INFORMATION
APAM will not disclose or sell your information to other parties without your consent.
By submitting an EOI or registering to participate in APAM, you grant APAM the right to disclose your information to the APAM partners: the Australia Council for the Arts and Creative Victoria, as well as members of the APAM Curatorial Panel. APAM will NOT disclose your private information to any other third party without your consent.
SECURITY
APAM maintains the same level of security for personal information collected in an electronic format as it does for personal information collected in paper format. However, if you are providing personal information via an email or an online form you should be aware that there are some risks to transmitting data via the Internet, unless it is encrypted with a security certificate.
APAM’s web forms usually will not have encryption. APAM uses third party providers for financial transactions. These third party provides use encryption and related server-side mechanisms for secure data transfer (e.g. credit card details).
If at any time you believe the principles referred to in this privacy statement have not been followed, or have any other comments on these principles, please contact us. Additionally if you wish to know what private information APAM may have which is yours, please contact us.
The use of the term “personal information” in this privacy statement means any information from which your identity is apparent or can be reasonably ascertained.
While https://apam.org.au/ contains links to other websites, APAM is not responsible for the content and the privacy practices of other websites and encourages you to examine each site’s privacy policy and make your own decisions regarding the accuracy, reliability and correctness of material and information found.
