Shaun Parker & Company presents AM I

18 February 8:00pm - 9:15pm Brisbane Powerhouse | Powerhouse Theatre Dance Full Length 13+

AM I explores the quintessential meaning of 'I' in this ground-breaking new music and dance collaboration

Director/choreographer Shaun Parker and composer Nick Wales bring together 14 extraordinary musicians and dancers, including guest artist Shantala Shivalingappa, to create a striking visual and theatrical world. AM I investigates the quintessential meaning of 'I' within the context of the modern day global tribe. Asking... am I my tribe? Am I my faith? Am I my genetic blueprint? Am I a random cosmological consequence?

AM I looks at that which has changed and that which remains the same in our human condition, investigating the tensions between religion and science, conflict and harmony. Reinvented world music and cult-like singing collide to create a compelling and gut wrenching sound scape.

Warnings: This work contains strong lighting and adult themes.
