Emily Eyefinger

Based on the book series by Duncan Ball, Emily Eyefinger is a light-hearted, farcical show for 5 -10 year olds. Whilst comedic, the show resonates with themes of identity, respect and friendship.

Our adventurous heroine Emily was born with an extraordinary gift: an eye on the end of her finger. But Emily has a dilemma. "Am I Emily because of my eyefinger, or am I Emily because of me?" Emily struggles with being different, and confiding in her best friend Malcolm, begins to contemplate life without her eyefinger. She even considers surgical removal. Meanwhile, Emily embarks on her biggest adventure yet. With her Great Aunt Olympia, she heads into a deep, dark jungle where she foils a kidnapping attempt by the evil Arthur Crim and solves the mystery of the Ancient Caves of Tutenkamouse.  With the help of those around her, Emily eventually finds pride in her 'bit of difference' and acknowledges that sometimes it's better to leave things as they are.

“This energetic stage adaptation of Duncan Ball’s adventure series for children combines the silliness of Ripping Yarns and the wackiness of Scooby-Doo.” - Sydney Morning Herald

The show is available for international touring from 2012 onwards.
