Kila Kokonut Krew Entertainment presents The Factory (NZ)
An entertaining and uplifting pacific musical exploring the Samoan migrant experience in New Zealand
The Factory is a musical theatre tribute to the courage of the Pacific peoples who came to Auckland during the 1970s, striving to make a new life. Opening with a powerful call to ancestral roots, this large-scale show features an original score of exuberant and soulful songs, slick choreography and a vibrant live band.
The Factory begins with the arrival of Losa in Aukilani, a young Samoan woman with hopes for a brighter future who is immediately set to work in a textile factory. But each time the factory bell rings, she feels further away from both her home and her aspirations.
