KAGE presents FORKLIFT

19 February 1:30pm - 1:55pm 3:15pm - 3:40pm Brisbane Powerhouse - Powerhouse Plaza Dance, Physical Theatre, Circus 25-min Excerpt All Ages

A breathtaking dance-circus performance featuring three highly talented women performing on and around a moving forklift

It’s the graveyard shift in an industrial wasteland and three women find themselves willing to risk everything in their interplay with each other and a moving machine. Lyrical, intimate and dangerous, FORKLIFT is a breathtaking performance that combines choreography, contortion and aerial acrobatics on, and around, a working 2.5 tonne forklift.

Boasting KAGE’s trademark vigorous physicality, atmospherics and sense of play, FORKLIFT is a display of the equipment of the human body at its most impressive. Directed by Kate Denborough this awe-inspiring performance matches the lightness of limbs with hard edges and heavy metal.
