Lisa Wilson Projects and Judith Wright Centre of Contemporary Arts present Lake
A stage in flood is the set for the stunning new work by choreographer Lisa Wilson
Bold in its vision and deeply evocative, Lake literally floods the entire performance area to create a visually stunning and highly engaging dance theatre work. A seamless fusion of visual design, video projection, an original score and Wilson’s acclaimed choreography, Lake explores our fascination with and fear of water, a medium that can be at turns breathtakingly beautiful and a force of indiscriminate destruction.
Serene, calm, haunting, and menacing, Lake takes audiences on a journey through their primal response to sparkling reflection and murky depths; to intense beauty and chilling isolation; to utter wilderness and timeless myth.
