Brisbane City Council provides funding and support to arts and cultural organisations, artists, art workers, creatives and local non-profit community groups to support our vision of a Vibrant and Creative City.

In 2031, Brisbane will be a vibrant, 24-hour, cultural city – a city that attracts creative endeavours and people, and enables innovation. Brisbane’s rich social, cultural, historical and creative resources provide an enduring legacy of liveability for future generations.

Council has adopted the Creative Brisbane Creative Economy 2013-22 strategy to support this vision and to strengthen Brisbane’s liveability as a vibrant creative hub to ensure Brisbane will be the premier location for talented people to live, work and play; a city to raise families and develop careers and economic potential.

Joining Brisbane City Council at Booth #15 is Brisbane Marketing, the city’s economic development board. Brisbane Marketing is the driving force behind Brisbane’s growing reputation as a progressive and globally-connected city – Australia’s New World City.

Brisbane is an event city and Brisbane Marketing can provide information on the wide variety of venues available to producers while outlining the fabulous array of visitor attractions and experiences for audiences.

Delegates can sample the city’s rich event offerings while at APAM, including the 8th Asia Pacific Triennial of Contemporary Art; Medieval Power: Symbols and Splendour; BrisAsia Festival; or the upcoming World Science Festival Brisbane, one the world’s most prestigious scientific and cultural events.
