Tamara Saulwick and Insite Arts present Endings

19 February 10:15am - 10:30am Brisbane Powerhouse - The Hub Interdisciplinary / Hybrid Arts, Theatre Pitch Adults (18+)

A powerful hybrid performance work set to explore the idea of endings

Part chamber concert, part performance work, Endings is a meditation on cycles and the ending of things. Using portable turntables, reel-to-reel tape players and live performance, Endings finds form for experiences both ordinary and extraordinary that cluster around death, dying and afterlife.

A hybrid performance work, Endings will be constructed in part from one-on-one audio interviews, with real life stories creating powerful first-person accounts. Recorded interviews will be embedded into a richly textured electro-acoustic sound design using record players and bespoke vinyl cuttings created specifically for the work. These will be integrated with the songs and vocals of acclaimed singer/songwriter Paddy Mann (Grand Salvo).
