A rare triumph of theatrical ingenuity and human compassion. The West Australian
Perth Theatre Company presents It's Dark Outside
Puppetry, animation and live performance combine for an epic western
Arielle Gray, Chris Isaacs and Tim Watts, the team behind the international multi award-winning production The Adventures of Alvin Sputnik: Deep Sea Explorer, have created another heartfelt adventure. As the sun sets, an old man wanders into the wild and is swept up in a surreal western, on the run from a mysterious tracker.
It's Dark Outside uses a constantly creative and beguiling blend of live performance, puppetry, mask and animation to deliver a grand epic about redemption and dementia. Set to an original music score by composer Rachael Dease, this is a beautiful and captivating exploration of memory loss.
