Polyglot Theatre presents Separation Street

20 February 12:15pm - 12:30pm Brisbane Powerhouse - The Hub Interdisciplinary / Hybrid Arts, Theatre Pitch Family

Separation Street is one story from two separate viewpoints: which part of the audience is experiencing the truth?

Polyglot, Australia’s leading creator of experiential theatre for kids, and the musical junkyard comedy trio The Suitcase Royale join forces in the quest for a new theatrical experience for adults and children. Drawing on their shared love of the handmade, the instant and the impulsive, these two companies are concocting a new large-scale project that promises a journey of exploration, discovery and rescue.

Separation Street takes the audience on an adventure that starts with the division of ages – adults going in one direction and children in another. Each group undertakes a separate theatrical journey within the one performance, experiencing a ripping yarn from completely different perspectives.
