BRISBANE

WELCOME TO BRISBANE

APAM 2018 takes place on the Ancestral Home Lands of the Turrbal, Ugarapul/Yugarapul and Jagera Peoples, the Traditional Custodians of the Brisbane region.

Brisbane Powerhouse is nestled in the Meeanjin (spike) of the Maiwar (Brisbane River). The dreaming serpent wove the Maiwar into being and created the life blood of the city, a source of energy, food and connection. New Farm Park is an important place for storytelling, performance and the arts.

As you arrive in the Brisbane you’ll be greeted by the friendly locals, the sub-tropical warmth and delicious fruits (make sure you get your hands on a mango!). We encourage you to enjoy the diverse arts scene, explore and shop in local neighbourhoods, drink and dine in cafes and bars and take day trips to neighbouring islands.
