MY NAME IS JIMI

Based on a story by Dimple Bani, Jimi Bani and co-created with Jason Klarwein

An uplifting celebration of Torres Strait Island culture.

Charismatic actor Jimi Bani whisks you away to his island, a remote speck in the sparkling blue of the Torres Strait, for an evening of dance, stand-up and fireside storytelling. With four generations of his family, Jimi brings to the stagea mixed-media, multilingual performance about keeping culture and language alive in a rapidly changing world.

My Name is Jimi is a hilarious and deeply moving story of hope and survival and an uplifting celebration of Torres Strait Island culture that takes you on a journey from riotous hilarity towards a profoundly moving provocation.
