'ŚLĄSK' Ensemble, Poland
Established in 1953, 'ŚLĄSK' Song and Dance Ensemble is an ambassador of Polish national and folk culture and one of the most recognisable Polish artistic brands. The 100-member ensemble consists of a choir, ballet and orchestra and presents an extensive repertoire of Polish folk, national and international songs and dances.

The 'ŚLĄSK' Song and Dance Ensemble was founded on 1 July 1953 by composer Stanisław Hadyna with choreographer extraordinaire Elwira Kamińska. Together they set high artistic standards that ensured the distinction and originality of one of the greatest artistic folk ensembles in the world, topping into the richness of national dance, song and customs. Its repertoire consists of various music forms – from great spectacles, shoving vivid folk panorama of Poland through impressive educational concerts and classical and sacral music performances.
'ŚLĄSK' functions as a resilient cultural institution, performing around 120 concerts a year. Nearly 300 people belong to 'ŚLĄSK', over 100 of whom are the artists who make up the choir, ballet, and orchestra. This great Ambassador of Polish Culture has performed over 8 thousand times for more than 25 million viewers in 44 countries spanning five continents. The Ensemble is internationally recognised, as confirmed by numerous awards.
