THE MAN WITH THE IRON NECK

When all feels hopeless, this show explores how we find that one reason to hang on, literally for dear life.

This is a story of survival; an Australian family story, about three small-town kids and howtwo choose to survive when one is lost. It’s not so much a story about suicide, as it is about embracing life. A searing tale, The Man with the Iron Neck expertly combines a bold new script with aerial choreography, heightened physicality and hyperreal stage design.

Drawn from co-director Josh Bond’s own family story and developed out of his solo practice, this stunning, poignant new work is created by an extraordinary team of artists including writer Ursula Yovich and co-director Gavin Robins.

Legs On The Wall

For 32 years Legs On The Wall has been creating theatre that celebrates and explores the capacity ofthe physical body in motion, using physical metaphor to explore stories. Narrative text-based stories, visual stories, abstract stories – these are all linked by the body and its capabilities as the central vehicle for making work.

Legs is a recognised global cultural export and has performed around the world to large audiences through its outdoor work– such as the opening night of the London Cultural Olympiad in 2012 (The Voyage), Homelands in Sydney CBD and the 2014 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow (Perch).
