THE SHADOW WHOSE PREY THE HUNTER BECOMES
A story about new economies and old inequalities.
Inspired by a true story in a contemporary western democracy…
A group of intellectually disabled people are moved from their homes to work in a poultry processing plant where they slave away for little more than room and board. With the disappearance of the factory owner, the workers are liberated. But when his body is found ten years later, the case is re-opened and the ex-workers are the focus of a murder investigation.
THE SHADOW WHOSE PREY THE HUNTER BECOMES focuses our collective responsibility for society’s most vulnerable and marginalised, while at the same time celebrating our civil and social progress via a hard-edged detective story.
