ABOUT THE COMPANIES

P7:1SMA
P7:1SMA is a contemporary dance company which seeks to use the power of dance to question our belief systems and life’s balances. Through its works, the company hopes to profile the worldview of Malay philosophy to the international stage.

Drama Box
Drama Box’s mission is to create, present and curate aesthetically compelling theatre with broad social outreach, through deep and intimate engagement. These works engage dialogically with people and their socio-political conditions, and the aim is to have the audience participate actively in the company’s works as “Spect-Actors” or “Creators”.

The Artground
The Artground is an accessible free play space for children from 0 – 12 years, with the aim of creating positive art experiences across different art forms. Besides the art installations, programmes and workshops presented by the company, artists are also invited to incubate, develop and design experiences for the children, in tandem with the programming.

Esplanade – Theatres on the Bay
Esplanade – Theatres on the Bay is Singapore’s national performing arts centre, offering a rich line-up of about 3,000 performances featuring dance, music, theatre, visual arts and more annually. Esplanade is operated by the Esplanade Co Ltd, which is a not-for-profit organisation.
