Getting Around – Fremantle

For our delegates – we head to Fremantle on Thursday 26 February. Read on for more information on getting around Fremantle.

Transport

Coaches will run from the Pan Pacific Hotel to the Old Customs House in the Fremantle city centre and the Walyalup Fremantle Arts Centre. 

Departure Times: 

10.30am 
10.45am
11.30am 

A shuttle bus will run between Old Customs House and the Curtin Theatre every 10 to 15 minutes from 1.00pm to 2.30pm (please note that afternoon sessions start at the Curtin Theatre at 2.30pm). 

Coaches will run from the Walyalup Fremantle Arts Centre to The State Theatre Centre in the Perth CBD and onto the Pan Pacific Perth. 

Departure Times: 

6.30PM
7.15PM 

For delegates attending evening shows we recommend the 6.30pm coach.

Public Transport – Trains

The train to Fremantle from Perth Underground Station (corner of Wellington and William St) takes 30 minutes. The timetable can be found here.

Fremantle Train Station is in walking distance from all APAM venues, but we recommend you check distances (and heat) prior to departure. 

The Moores Building and Old Customs House are 5 to 10 minutes away, and the Walyalup Fremantle Arts Centre and Curtin Theatre are 15 to 20 minutes away. 

Public Transport – Bus

Walyalup Fremantle Arts Centre and Curtin Theatre are connected by Transperth bus services. 

Services run regularly from Fremantle Train Station to stops within walking distance of each venue. 

For the Curtin Theatre take route #915 to Stop 10876 (High St after Queen St) . For the Walyalup Fremantle Arts Centre take route #160 to Stop 29727 (Old St after Finnerty St).

Driving

Paid parking is available in Fremantle. There are 27 public car parks, many of which are in the city centre. For more information please find the City of Fremantle parking locations page.

The Curtin Theatre and Walyalup Fremantle Arts Centre have small car parks. Please be aware  that school pick up time will block access to the Curtin Theatre car park from 2.30 – 3.30pm. The car park closes at 5.00p sharp.
