Due to the ongoing impacts of COVID-19, including continuing uncertainty around state lockdowns and border restrictions, APAM made the difficult decision to move the APAM Gathering at Darwin Festival 2021 fully online.

The APAM Gathering at Darwin Festival brought together a collection of virtual happenings highlighting the works, ideas and ambitions of Australian and New Zealand artists and companies. On our specially-designed APAM Digital Platform, the Gathering was held between 10-19 August. A multidisciplinary event, the Gathering invited participants from across the country and internationally to engage in a digital program of performance, dialogue, and networking.
Participants engaged with a diverse, multidisciplinary program of work by Australian artists including Marrugeku, Gravity and Other Myths, ILBIJERRI Theatre Company, Lara Thoms and Samara Hersh, Counterpilot, Sarah Ward, Shaun Parker and Company and Tracks Dance.
