The APAM Team Recommends…from Samantha

We asked our Administration Coordinator, Samantha Hortin, for some of her top Boorloo/Perth Recommendations!

Top Things To Do:

Start your day off with a lovely morning walk around the Swan River – Elizabeth Quay is a great place to start with beautiful views of the water and the surrounding city.

Some of my top picks for a morning coffee and brekky: Deli Gabe (excellent bagel selection too), Mary Street Bakery, and Playa Coffee (again fantastic selection of bagels and if you haven’t caught onto the theme yet I’m a big bagel fan)

Visiting the beach while in Perth is a much if you have time! It is definitely worth it to catch a train to Cottesloe Station for the iconic Cottesloe Beach, to Grant Street Station for Swanbourne Beach or if you’ve got the time all the way to Fremantle Station for my personal favourite South Beach (South beach also has a dog beach right next to it!)

If you’d prefer to stay indoors enrich yourself in some amazing Art at the Art Gallery of WA or the WA Museum, or visit any of the amazing markets Perth has one in the CBD, Freo, Scarborough and many more!

If you do feel like making the trip to Fremantle, it’s a great idea to check out the Walyalup Fremantle Arts Centre too. There’s a wonderful cafe there to enjoy lunch, a free gallery, shop, and they have live music on every Sunday

I’d recommend for dinner to head to Stories in Yagan Square for some excellent dining options. I recommend Ugly Baby personally for a fantastic shared menu.

Finish the night off by treating yourself to some unique flavours of gelato at Chicho, my personal favourite is the Lavender Honeycomb
